[complete] Google Data Studio templates available for basic MWS and Advertising reporting (to be sent to users separately from a release note). Please visit https://www.dashapplications.com/training.html for more info (use pw: dash4you)
mws uploader for key item data points[complete] - releasing an Uploader template that allows users to upload data points for each item in the mws_items table including ItemCost (COGS), ItemGlobalCost (for unified COGS), ItemInboundCost (Landed to Amazon costs), ShippingCost (for merchant fulfilled items), Brand, LeadTime, ParentASIN, and ItemGroup labels for enhanced analytics capabilities.
"mws inventory fba estimated fees" [complete] - FBA and Referral estimated fees for all Amazon fulfilled SKUs. Used for projections of profitability, settlements data to be used for true profitability accounting.
"mws inventory metric" [complete] - Includes inventory on hand (historical and daily updated), weeks of cover, and other tasty data points
"IsRepeatCustomer" field[complete]- Added to the mws-orders-list and mws-orders-metric tables. With a field value of 1 = Repeat and 0 = New for all shipped orders, you can use the field to segment new vs. repeat customer purchases down to the ASIN level (via mws_orders_metric). The field allows us to calculate things like AOV by new vs. repeat, LTV of new vs. repeat, Product purchase behavior by new vs. repeat, and Revenue by new vs. repeat. Here's a sample of some of the metrics I'm working on in a template GDS report:
MWS + Ad data monitoring [COMPLETE] - to better track and understand the MWS and Advertising data delivery, we are implementing additional monitoring for proactive issue identification and to define the data deliverability schedule for MWS
[1.25.21]
[complete, to be released week of 2020-01-25] Active "3mo" metric tables implemented to not only increase the speed of new data writes to the db but also provide tables that can be connected to for recent data (month to date + the previous 3 months of data) and faster dashboard loading that doesn't require loading the entire historical data set for a given metric table.
[complete, to be released week of 2020-01-25] "campaign_tracking" table added to enable tracking of day over day Daily Budgets by campaign, along with State, ServingStatus, PlacementModifier values, Creative on SB campaigns, Amazon Budget Recommendations, 7 Day Lost Sales, and more.
Ad Data Latency Measures [complete 12.15.20] - due to increased Latency and Capacity issues occurring in the Advertising API, we are implementing additional procedures to better handle data retrievals that do not generate regularly
[10.16.20]
Read Replicas - in September/October, we will also be migrating to a read replica architecture. Nothing will change for you if you have switched over to the "db.mydashapplications.studio" hostname for your db references.
[9.30.20]
Sponsored Brands Video data added for campaign, ad group, and keyword + search term record and metric tables. Currently available for the US and CA marketplaces only.
Sponsored Display Product Targeting data available for additional marketplaces including UK, FR, ES, IT, DE, AE, and JP.
API pull optimizations to implement retry and back-off mechanisms.
[9.14.20] - Admin
IP allowlist - an IP address allowlist will be implemented on September 14th, 2020, effectively blocking any unauthorized IP's from accessing the databases
[8.20.20] - Advertising Data
Currency Conversion record and metric tables available for use in currency conversion equations. We will update the record table every week day for all major currencies and marketplaces and will update the metric table once per week for historical currency exchange rate reference.
Sponsored Display product targeting (tactic T00020) data available in campaignmetric, adgroupmetric, productadmetric, keywordtargetingmetric. This data is being added to accompany the already available Sponsored Display remarketing (tactic remarketing) data available in the campaignmetric, adgroupmetric, and productadmetric tables (no keywordtargetingmetric data available for the remarketing tactic)
Sales and Orders fields added to all metric tables that automatically populate with the correct sales and orders values for the given attribution window on the basis of ad type and seller/vendor status. Basically, this means you will never have to write another case statement to get the correct ad sales and orders numbers pulled into your reports. No more wrangling "AttributedSales7day" vs. "AttributedSales14day" again!
Sponsored Products product targeting and Sponsored Display remarketing data available in asinmetric to accompany the Sponsored Products keyword targeting data already available.
[7.13.20] - MWS data (Beta)
MWS for Seller Central orders and product catalog data (initially released) available via the mws_orders_metric, mws_orders_list, and mws_items tables

Custom
Upload Business Reports Data [tbd] - based on requests from partners, we will be adding the ability to upload your Business Reports Data from Seller Central to your db. This will allow more efficient reporting of data points not available in MWS such as Sessions, Unit Session Percentage, and Buy Box Percentage to name a few.
Advertising
Amazon DSP data [development in progress] - to provide DSP data for those partners that are starting to expand their advertising efforts, we will be looking to integrate the API-available DSP data into your dbs.
Units fields added to metric tables that already use the correct Attribution windows on the basis of MerchantType and CampaignType
MWS (Beta)
"mws inventory history" [currently in progress] - In order to provide more reliable historical inventory data, we will be building a table to replace the current functionality of the mws inventory metric table that allows for historical inventory stock level tracking. We will be maintaining the mws inventory metric table, which is based on the inventory health report available in Seller Central, but will be modifying it to be a snapshot for the current date as opposed to a historical data tracking table. This ensures that metrics like "Weeks of Cover" are still available to you on an item level.
settlements table - [11.25.20 update - currently exploring the raw data available for the Settlements report via the MWS API, scoping table next ] per the below note, we would like to incorporate the settlements (financial) data available to better report profitability and support Amazon P&L building. We will look to build a standalone table that may replace the item profitability table mentioned below.
"mws items profitability" - [11.6.20 update - looking for alternative fees data as the estimated fees can be different than what gets charged. Will likely rely on settlements data, which will require some additional time to integrate.] A metric table intended to show revenue and cost fields for a given ASIN on the daily level across advertising and mws data for ASIN-level profitability calculations including revenue, fba fees, ad spend and ad sales, item costs/cogs, and more.
Future Release:
MWS additional data tables - Customers, Feedback, Settlements, and Returns
Addition of DSP data - DSP data is now available in the API. We will attempt to add this data to the data tables as a supplemental data source. If you have any accounts that you'd like us to test with, please let us know as we are looking for accounts that we can use to validate the data pulls.
Addition of Amazon Attribution data - Amazon announced on August 25th, 2020 that Attribution program data will be available in the Advertising API for US and UK marketplaces sometime in September. If you have an Attribution account that you would like the data for and we could potentially test the data with, please let us know!
In an effort to continuously improve the dash experience, we are rolling out a few platform updates that we think you're going to dig. To see the new changes in the dash platform, make sure you do a hard refresh on your browser (CTRL+SHIFT+R).
First, our Account Manager view has arrived, enabling you to self-manage merchants in your database right from the dash platform! Feel the power of merchant management with the ability to activate and pull data for any merchant, or to inactivate merchants that you no longer manage.
Note: dash will no longer activate/inactivate merchants on your behalf as you can now self-manage your merchant statuses directly in the dash platform.
Second, the brand new Merchant Dashboard has launched, which replaces and improves upon the original Reports view. Merchant Dashboard is designed to support efficient check-ins on performance by bringing a merchant's drivers of change directly to the surface. Think of it as ‘Bridge lite’, the place where all good analysis and optimization begins.
To view the complete release notes (which we recommend checking out), things you can now do, and items to watch out for concerning the platform update, just click here: dash/reference site
The Account Manager view from dash/DATA STUDIO allows for Amazon account and merchant management directly in the dash platform
Account Manager is the merchant management tool we have been mentioning for some time now and should go a long way in helping manage Active merchants within your database. With Account Manager, you can:
Add Amazon Accounts with new merchants populating in dash immediately upon connection (dash is one of the few platforms that retrieves merchant names right away, if at all)
Decide which added merchants you'd like to pull and store data for by setting merchant statuses to "Active" one at a time or in bulk. Once you flip a merchant to "Active", dash now pulls 60-day lookback data immediately.
Manage which merchants' data you'd like included in your database by activating or inactivating (and purging data for) a merchant, which enables control over the spend considered for your monthly billing tier
Administer merchants added when brands invite you to their accounts on a one by one basis. We'll let you know when a new merchant has been connected to your Amazon account with an automatic email right away.
The Account Manager view from dash/DATA STUDIO allows for Amazon account and merchant management directly in the dash platform
Merchant Dashboard is the view we wish we would've had long ago. If the styling of this view looks familiar, it's because we took some of the best parts of our Bridge Analysis view and simplified them to show the relative change within an ad account across every major metric. Drop into your account, take a quick look at the Merchant Dashboard, and immediately know which campaigns/ad groups/keywords/ASINs are driving changes within an account month over month, week over week, or day over day.
Examine the Top and/or Bottom Change Drivers (the "good guys" and the "bad guys") period over period for all major ad metrics to determine what's moving and shaking within an account
Review changes for campaigns, ad groups, keywords, product targets, ASINs, and search terms to identify where to focus your time in optimization
Compare two different metrics side by side to get a complete picture of how performance is trending
Explore the top or bottom spending, selling, clicking, or impressing records of your account to quickly find outliers for a given time period
Questions or issues?
Although we always do extensive quality assurance, these are new views that may include a bug here and there. Please let us know if you see any issues via the blue "Feedback" tab hovering along the right side of each platform view. Alternatively, please send support@dashapplications.com a note if you are experiencing any issues or have questions about the platform updates.
As always, thank you for being a dash partner. We can't wait to hear what you think of the new features!
